In the late 2000’s, Karen Ferries assisted lead food stylists Heidi Johannsen-Stewart and Stephana Bottom on photo shoots for Food & Wine, OPRAH Magazine, PEOPLE, Women’s Health, and the FOOD Network Magazine.
A graduate of The Institute of Culinary Education, she went on to work in Daniel Boulud’s flagship kitchen, Restaurant Daniel, then opened her own catering company, The Cocktail Party Chef, for almost a decade in the New York City/Philadelphia areas, her food renowned for its artistic presentations.
